The Ellis Island Foundation has made its database of passengers available to the public through their website. This offers hours and hours of discoveries. So, when I read your posting, I did a quick Passenger Search for Chlentzos and found the record of a Diamandis Chlentzos who entered the U.S., on Oct 24, 1898, 25 years old. Fascinating photo and post. Thanks. I also just saw that you will be giving a keynote address at the photography conference at King's College. I'm sorry I'll miss it. KOSTIS

Despite Bon’s special interest in the castle architecture of the Frankish period, there is disappointingly little evidence of it in En Grèce; all told, two views of Karytaina and one of Khlemoutsi (Clairmont). I assume there must be lots more in Le Morée franque, but unfortunately I don’t have a copy on Kythera.
