Anybody interested in imagery of any kind must be aware of the possibilities inherent in Google's image search function. Unlike other, more focused search programs, it comes up with pleasingly random results, a kind of drunkard's walk through the world of iconography. What follow below are a few of the images which popped up when I searched under "Greek" a couple of weeks ago. Of course, they are no longer strictly speaking random, if only because I have weeded out a large number of hits associated with an American TV series about college kids or with a film called "Get Him to the Greek", neither of which I really wanted to know much more about. Food and civil commotion appear to be the most popular subjects at the moment.
